Kumeu River Mate's Vineyard Chardonnay 2007 Wine
USD 41.99

2007 proved a little cooler than 2006, with harvest dates behind 2006 one week on average, and sugar levels that were not quite as high. Consequently, acid levels are marginally higher, and wines have a more mineral feel to them. Citrus and stonefruit flavors are in abundance, and wines have great length and texture. Once again, Kumeu River had a very clean vintage without damage from botrytis. grapes were hand harvested. vines in Mate's Vineyard are maturing nicely at 18 years, and this is Kumeu River's only vineyard still planted with Mendoza clone. vine age and distinctiveness of clone help give Mate's Vineyard Chardonnay its unique character. This vineyard has always displayed a lifted fruit aroma with distinct minerality, and 2007 is arguably finest expression Kumeu River has seen from this site. Take a look at photo of grapes from 2007 harvest, and you see fruit close to perfection. This is certainly extended through to finished wine, which at this stage is quite closed but u The

To obtain a balanced, food-friendly Chardonnay, we source our fruit from cooler areas of Russian River Valley – majority of our Chardonnay comes from Dutton RanChateau cooling, marine-layer influences enable our fruit to be picked with a high level of acidity, resulting in a bright, fresh and food-friendly wine. French oak aging on our 2009 Russian River Chardonnay, offers up wonderful aromas of citrus, tropical fruit, vanilla and creme brûlee. On palate, there's a rich, creamy texture from sur lie aging that's balanced with surprising acidity that enables wine to pair very well with pork, chicken, fish and salads; but we're confident you'll also enjoy our Russian River Chardonnay by itself. cooler climate of Carneros region allows us to produce a Merlot which is true to varietal's characteristics. longer growing season allows fruit to reach maturity slowly, giving us fruit which is soft and elegant, yet rich and full flavored. Elegant aromas of boysenberry and black cherry join with nuances of vanilla and plum. These aromas lead to a soft and supple mouth-feel, rich with blackberry and toffee flavors. Hints of spice and cranberry are supported by moderate tannins for a smooth finish. Our favorite pairings for this wine include chicken cacciatore, Cornish game hen, and parmesan risotto.

Trenza Tinto 2008 Red Wine
USD 25.99

Tinto is original inspiration behind Trenza; idea was to make a stellar red blend that embodies greatness of SLO County. This is a big, bold wine with ripe, stunning flavors backed by racy acidity. It is a blend of Garnacha (Grenache) and Monastrell (Mourvedre) from warm Paso Robles region, and Syrah and Tempranillo from cooler Edna and Arroyo Grande Valleys. Each variety brings a different element to party. Syrah and Tempranillo were picked ripe and co-fermented to show off their dark color and tannin structure backed by major blue fruit and white pepper - Garnacha is all about sweet floral notes of rose petals and cherries – Monastrell adds small amounts of spice, pepper and earthiness. This is a big, rich wine, with complex aromas of leather, tobacco, blueberries, sweet oak, and a hint of white pepper. It is earthy and well structured with concentrated flavors of black currants and spearmint. finish is long and silky, leaving a note of bitter-sweet chocolate behind. Firm tann

Swanson Vineyards Alexis Estate Red Wine 2006 750ml

An early budbreak was encouraged by a spring of warm, balmy days, which warmed the vineyard soils sooner than anticipated. We then experienced some cooler weather in the beginning of summer, slowing budbreak, which had us all thinking early harvest. Two short periods of very hot weather, one in July and the other in August, did result in a slightly early harvest. Rapid sugar development and a warmer-than-average season with an extended hang time, all came together to produce a wine of excellent floral and fruit character. Wine VIR INT

Columbia Crest Reserve Semillon Ice Wine 2005 375ml
USD 27.59

This wine is from United States, Washington region, Columbia Valley sub-region. The Columbia Crest Reserve Semillon Ice Wine is a brilliant, complex wine with unusual origins.Like many great European ice wines, this wine was crafted from grapes left hanging on the vine into December. During the 2005 harvest, we designated a Semillon block from the Columbia Crest Estate suitable for dessert wine. The block was repeatedly evaluated during the ensuing weeks, and after each evaluation we opted for longer hang time. Cooler temperatures blew through the vineyard late in the year, and as the thermometer registered 17F December 9, 2005, harvest commenced.Rock solid grapes were harvested and pressed just until the grape juice was liberated from the fruit. Because the sweet juice melts before the water component, the remaining frozen fruit material was quickly discarded to avoid diluting the rich, succulent nectar. The juice fermented in stainless steel tanks, then was filtered and bottled.. “Sweet earth, pineapple and honey aromas lead into wonderful coconut, pineapple and melon on the palate, culminating in a long lingering seductive finish.' - Ray Einberger, Winemaker Dessert SEMILLON Wine Washington Still Wine

George, provides a framework of invigorating acidity as well as beautiful floral notes. B.R.V., our vineyard in the Oak Knoll District, contributes sweet, juicy apple and pear characters. We complement the fruit from these vineyards with grapes from select vineyards in Carneros that enhance the blend with citrus notes and a minerality that region is known for. Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Chardonnay Arcadia Vineyard 2006 750ml
USD 44.99

Flooding kicked off the New Year in Napa Valley, which made for great news headlines, but caused no damage to dormant vines. Cool, wet weather delayed bud break by a few weeks, but by early June, the sun came out and vines began to bloom and set fruit. In mid-July, a record-setting heat wave lasted about ten days, which helped the vines catch up to a ”normal” place in the typical growing season. Seasonal and somewhat cooler weather returned in August, with a mild weather pattern continuing throughout the fall that allowed for moderately paced, deliberate ripening and a long harvest period.
